Gator Advanced Training Program Pathway

If your child has big dreams and aspirations to be selected into the NITP program, Victorian State Team, AIS, National League or the Olympic Team there are steps they can take to help them along in the process.

As a Coach and Selector at the Basketball Victoria Talent Identification Camps, I have currently restructured the Altona Gators Advanced Training Program to better prepare your child for possible selection into the Basketball Victorian Elite program.

The number of participants from Altona Gators attending the Basketball Victoria Talent Identification Camps is increasing with a number of Altona players moving on to the next round of State Selections.

Other clubs who are heavily represented in the NITP program and State Teams understand the importance of individual performance enhancement run similar programs to the Altona Gators Advanced Training Program and the strength in numbers at the Basketball Victoria Talent ID Camps is evident.

These Basketball Victoria Talent Identification camps will have an emphasis on skill development, in particular shooting and individual skills. Team Offensive & Defensive concepts will also be covered at the camp. The Advanced Training Program is an affordable service offered by the Altona Gators Club that provides all our players with an opportunity to practice the actual drills they will need to know at the Basketball Victoria Talent Identification Camps.

Altona Gators currently has teams in most age groups playing in Victorian Championships and we hope to see a more Altona Gators players in the Advanced Training Program Sessions or at the Basketball Victoria Talent Identification Camps.
